You can get the proper microwave shelf brackets anywhere- screwfix toolstation, argos etc all much of a muchness but obviously need a good fixing into the wall.

6 x100mm screws into 8mm duo plugs. This combi oven thing is so heavy I'm nervous to remove shelf. The microwave brackets rest on the back but don't touch the front of shelf

Remove the shelf, it's not doing anything now as evidenced by the significant gap between L brackets and shelf

As above, the brackets are holding the cooker up.

So long as you don't exceed the weight limit of the bracket, you should be fine.

Yours looks like the Dunelm one- rated at 45kg.

I get what you are saying... but it doesn't seem to be a problem for other owners.

I am kinda guessing that the feet are not adjustable (height wise
). If they were, you could bolt the oven down using the same metric thread.

Why not just use it for a few weeks and see how you get on? Leave the shelf in place in the meantime.

At the moment, the shelf is not taking any load.

And please.. remove the block resting on the other microwave.

Please let us know how you get on. You seem to have fitted the brackets correctly. So long as the feet bed down, I cannot see a problem.

I get what you are saying... but it doesn't seem to be a problem for other owners.

My combi m/wave has been sat on an almost identical bracket, for around 30 years, until fitted a replacement m/wave last year - on the same bracket. The oven feet sit in a channel, pressed into the steel of the bracket, preventing it sliding forward in use.

Took out shelf. Put a little shelf above to store airfryer. When hammering plug in the light in extractor flashed and there was a whirring sound briefly. I dunno if I hit a wire or the hammering vibrations. Seems ok now. The screws aren't horizontal to extractor's socket, there about 8 inches below. I put 70mm screw instead of 100mm into that hole.


Was thinking of using same microwave brackets on otherside of extractor for smaller microwave. There are no feet on underside that line up with front feet (see in pix) so maybe fit the brackets at both far sides to
Left and right of black feet.
