the 6 terminals on randall timers are pos, neg, earth and two for timed feed, what is the other one for?
I want to incorporate a timer into a glowworm(new) boiler so we don't have to keep climbing in the loft to change the settings. Looking at the drawing the easiest way is to short the integral clock out (or leave it on constant) and use one of room stat loops to wire the randal in. If the other terminal on the randall is for a switched live it solves my problem.
I would not be asking but there is no diagram or labelling on the terminal rail.

Which Randall timer do you have? The three may be the common pole of a SPDT switch, and you need to wire the C to L. The clock is then able to accomodate low voltage switching if the application requires it.
