I have just purchased a range cooker to replace my old electric cooker - These are the specs from the manufacture`s web site as cooker hasn`t arrived yet. -

Dual circuit electric grill (1.8/2.7kW)
Conventional electric oven (2.1kW)
Gyrofan fanned electric oven (1.7kW)
Burners are all gas.

At present my cooker circuit comprises of 30amp mcb - 6mm cable - 50 amp cooker switch (no socket)

Can someone please tell me if this setup can remain the same for my new cooker or would I have to upgrade it in anyway? If needs an upgrade please can you let me know what needs doing.

Thanks Max

The setup you have is fine, as diversity can be applied to cooking appliances, which is 10Amps + 30% of full load.
In your case this works out around about 20Amps

Your total load will be 27Amps

Which is roughtly 6.5kw

Your be fine with what you have got
