The anti semitic smear to get rid of political rivals is only surpassed in terms of toxicity by allegations of Paedophilia.

"Ms Long-Bailey had initially tweeted her support for the piece, saying "Maxine Peake is an absolute diamond".

"But following criticism on social media, she said: "I retweeted Maxine Peake's article because of her significant achievements and because the thrust of her argument is to stay in the Labour Party."

It has more to do with Starmer wanting rid of the "Corbyn continuity candidate".

Keir Starmer's got the unenviable job of rebuilding trust with the Jewish community after years of anti semitism. Long bailey tweeting anti semitic stuff is more than a sacking offence, she should have been removed from the Labour party.
Also, too good a opportunity to miss in rooting out the Marxists.

Can't stand the woman,i personally know some of her backroom staff, nothing more than left wing Tommy Robinsons.

Plenty of reports saying that the Israelis did indeed train NY police in the years after 9/11...

So not sure what was 'anti-semitic' about the tweet, albeit we don't know whether those particular individuals had undergone that training.

Maybe the court case will reveal the facts.

But Starmer is obviously 'making his mark'.

Interestingly the current home secretary was promoted despite her clandestine meetings in Israel, and is currently overseeing a 'hostile environment' in the UK...

Double standards?

Uh-oh EFL!! You've done it now...

Starmer seems quite smart. Be interesting for sure to see what he does with the labour party.. Can't be any worse under Mr Allotment... can it?

It might be worth pointing out at this stage that only two political parties have ever been the subject of inquiries into Racism. The BNP and Labour.

The Independent clarified that “Though a spokesperson for the Israeli police has denied this, a 2016 Amnesty International report said that hundreds of law enforcement officials had travelled to Israel for training.” The conspiracy theory that such training has any connection to physical policing techniques has been thoroughly debunked but is still popular on the far-left.

Ms Peake also suggested that those who did not vote for Jeremy Corbyn “should hang their heads in shame”. Given Ms Peake purported to be concerned about “fascism”, she might have consulted with the Jewish community, which learned too well the effects of that ideology, and were terrified at the prospect of Mr Corbyn, an antisemite, becoming Prime Minister.

At least two Labour MPs tweeted the interview approvingly. The Shadow Education Secretary, Rebecca Long-Bailey, said that “Maxine Peake is an absolute diamond”, but later retracted her endorsement in a subsequent tweet, saying: “I retweeted Maxine Peake’s article because of her significant achievements and because the thrust of her argument is to stay in the Labour Party. It wasn’t intended to be an endorsement of all aspects of the article.”

Kate Osborne MP also tweeted that she was “finding it hard to disagree with the fantastic Maxine Peake”, before deleting the tweet.
