Leeds Uni (??) have done studies and come to the conclusion that WWII-style rationing will ease global warming.

I actually think they've got something here, that it could work.

Carbon taxes, renewables, sustainable economy, nuclear power, green steel, low carbon concrete, restore peat bogs and sea grasses - would be most of the main things to tackle climate change. There are others, but rationing would be an unnecessary blunt instrument.
