I noticed this morning that the red flame failure/overheat light was on on the boiler.

I flicked the switch to reset and then turned it back on and the light had gone out.

It's really stormy here today - could it be something to do with the wind or am I needing to get a gas engineer out?

The light is still off after resetting it.

It could easily have been caused by a freak high wind.

Wait until it does not reset for long and then call an engineer ( if you can find one who will work on your model ).

Thank you. It's been fine all the rest of the day, so hoping that it was just the wind.

Didn't fancy the 50 quid call out from British Gas just to be told the wind did it!! :)
