I'm thinking of using a Ravenheat HE 85T.
Are they any good?
What are peoples views on this boiler?

I can;t comment on Rav85T but I had RavenHeat 820/20. IT was certainly wasn't designed with the engineers in mind. The parts are in awkard position and are difficult to change

Within fours I' had to change the 50 Ohm Resister, Diverter Valve and Thermocouple. The isolating valve on Flow started to weep from 'turn on/off' screw slot.

I thought it was a bag of shiite.

My parents have had Vaillant 282GB installed about 10 years ago, the only work required was to descale the DHW heat exchanger and replaced O ring on the on the water sections. The boiler is still growing strong. I don’t know if t recent Recent Vaillant boilers (TurboMax 828,824) are of similar build quality

If you can afford it try go for a quality make, Vaillant or WB.
Vaillant do a TurboPro 24 or 28 which doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of the TurboMax but uses same components ( Like comparing Audi A6 with a Passatt) and is reasonably priced.
At the lower the end I think Biasi's are OK but many people pooh pooh them.
Ideal rebadge the Biasi’s and charge £60 more for the privilege.

I am sure others will have different comments
