ravenheat timer probem~~ female in need of help

my ravenheat 84e combi boiler works fine when I turn on the hot water taps but the central heating has not worked for several days. I have taken the timer out and bypassed the 2 (switch over (grey wires) clips connections together and its now working fine for the time being.

What I need to know Should I get a new timer for the boiler and how much are they?

Or is there another way I can get the CH back on a timer (by a mains timer)?
