Hi,

I noticed one end of these 8mm wall plugs is square; the total diameter is 11mm if we include the square sharp ends

Would these wall plugs still make a clean hole into a masonry wall without damaging some of the finishing plaster around it?

Many thanks.

The packaging should indicate the size of hole to be drilled in the masonry. It is greater than the specified 8mm which is the fixing diameter size which is for the internal hole. Use an 11mm masonry bit, do a test hole if you are unsure, or unpractised.
