fellas,
1 socket circuit protected by 32amp rcbo, kept tripping.
Unplugged all appliances, kept tripping after 4 seconds.

Swapped for another rcbo, same again, tripped at 4 seconds later, im a bit stumped, any ideas?

Well it's definatly not a faulty RCBO.

Do you own any proper test equipment?

What were the IR test readings?

How many sockets does it supply?

Does it supply any outdoor equipment?

Does is supply any 'watery' appliances such as a boiler or immersion heater?

Does it supply a fridge or cooker? (although I assume you removed all appliances prior to IR testing)

Had it been raining when the trippiong started?

How long has the fault been apparent?

How old is the installation?

What is the supply type?

Are the MEB(s) in place?

What type, rating and make is the RCBO?

Does the RCBO trip without anything connected to it?

Have you RCD tested, and ramp tested the RCBO in isolation, and also with the circuit connected?

......you get the idea. Need more info.

Could be one of those daft faults for example the power is restored, the hot water fires up, the valve opens, faulty pump/boiler switches on and trips the leccy.
Are you 100% sure all items are unplugged and fixed equipment isolated?
