hi wondering if anyone can tell me why my rcbo is tripping. soon as i plug something in it trips. its a 30ma square d running the sockets.

the neutral is connected via the RCBO right?

is this a newly installed RCBO or has it suddently started misbehaving?

Is it protecting one circuit, or more than one?

EDIT: Stupid question - just sockets.

it is newly fitted. i have disconnected the neutral from the bar and it doesnt trip but also test button doesnt work when i do this.

just to check, the neutral from the socket circuit goes INTO THE RCBO neutral terminal, and the neutral from the RCBO then goes into the neutral bar.

Does it still trip if you disconnect the outgoing circuit?
Have you connected the white flying lead to the earth bar?
