If so ... you did put the neutrals into the RCBO, didn't you??

if it is tripping a immediately you won't be able to test it in situ.

You have a fault on the circuit, so you need to trace that first.

What is on that circuit?

I fear that they might have done. In fact my money is on just that.

You need an insulation tester or you might be able to detect the fault with a bog standard multimeter if you know what you are doing with one and there is a good short. But if they have just nicked the the insualtion you may not see it with a multimeter.

6 sockets thats it hope my dry liners have not caught the cables
FFS help yourself, then we can help you.

What EXACTLY have you done/added/removed/altered?

Be clear and we might be able to help you.

Have you only just recently fitted the rcbo?

If so you may have an old fault that has gone undetected until now. For example a neutral wire snagged against an earthed metal back box.

Why do you post two different topics about the same thing?

It doesnt help if you split your queries up, you'll only get half - not twice - the help.

That's why I am not helping.

Put future switch drops in oval, stops that.

What was the circuit like when first installed?

If you compare your pre energised initial IR with what you now get you may have a leg to stand on when the plaster has to come off.

Really hacks me off, it is usually the plumbers that muck my wires up!

Oh that reminds me, someone once told me under no circumstances to trim the cream functional earth lead..............
