I am new here, and I am hoping to find some help,as I am trying to sort my first flat (yep,a 100% naive newbie  )

I am having Aztec Trianco Classic 6KW electric boiler ,4 radiators with TVs,and Gainsborough shower 9.5 KW installed ,originally the price agreed included all additional materials ( I supplied boiler and installation kit for the boiler ,shower with RCD,rads with TVs.)

.
Now I am told they need RCD for the boiler as well, but when I offered to bring another of the RCD units,I was told that will be extra £50 for wiring it,or I need to buy one unit with 2RCD,for the shower and boiler.
I am quite confused about this, looking at the technical info for the boiler,it requires a RCD close to it,with a 30A MCB.
They offered to supply the double RCD for £30,and keep my shower RCD,but I am not sure ,as I am worried the boiler warranty may be compromised.
Any advice?

what sort of consumer unit have you got & how are the shower & boiler connected to it? Who are "they"?

Thank you for your reply,....they are my workmen ..I have no idea about the other stuff, the boiler is in the kitchen, and the shower RCD is going to be next to the existing consumer unit
I have reqested that Corgi registered plumber, and P registered electrician will issue certificates,as the flat is going to be put on the market after the work is completed, but as I have no experience with any tradesmen, and don't understand electrical installations,I wondered if anyone can help me with any advice.

I am sorry but you are not giving much info to go on, my guess would be that your consumer unit does not have a built in rcd & therefore a separate one is required for the shower, plus according to your boiler instructions, that too requires being rcd protected. I assume the one you originally supplied was not suitable & the job is going to be re-worked. Iwould not think you need to worry about the warranty being affected from the info you give. You seem to have qualified tradesmen working for you, so perhaps you should have a little faith in them.
