afaict he has 4 options

1: tell the dno and admit to doing it
2: tell the dno and make excuses (like that when i moved in or similar)
3: leave it and hope nothing goes wrong with it
4: find someone who knows how to joint live lead and paper cable to new swa or split con and is willing to sort it out on the quiet

I was mistaken when I said I had lead and paper insulated cable.

If the service fuse board is lifted off the ground and firmly attached to a joist but still remains under the floor will this be quite safe? I assume it will from the only advice already given being that it should not be on the ground
