Self explanatory really - does anyone know where to get some - none of my local wholesalers have them (TLC QVS CEF Eddies Newey WF Rexel) - unless I buy a new CU off them - which makes for a very expensive label.

Fitting plenty of RCBO's these days which should really have a label but can't get them anywhere - suggestions please.

You can pick up the test quarterly ones on ebay, though I noticed some RCBOs need to be done tested monthly.

JohnD - I'd be happy with something akin to that required by 514.12.2 although the Reg specifically states its a requirement for an RCD I'm surprised they didnt think to add RCBO as well.

Spark - I'll try Fleabay - just don't bid against me! - I noticed the monthly requirement when I fitted a GE one this week and was explaining to the customer that it should be tested quarterly then only to read the instructions which stated monthly!

RCD is just a generic term - it includes RCCBs, RCBOs, SRCDs etc.
What is often referred to as an RCD is an RCCB.
Manufacturers instructions overrule the regs, hence if they say monthly then you need monthly on your label.

In a split load board with RCCB and RCBO(S) I'm not sure if customers would notice the tiny test buttons on RCBOs, and would probably head for the RCCB anyway. Possibly some kind of arrows? Anyway, I think it does need to be addressed.

Customers testing their RCD's every 3 months or month.

Like thats ever really going to catch on

Aswel as the normal label afixed to the cu I give my customers along with the circuit schedule a laminated A4 sheet with details of how to re-set / test with button rcd's & rcbo's.
I leave it upto them to read & digest.

Like - does anyone take any notice of the two colours labels.

Typical - both local CEF denied all knowledge of such labels - if I have a choice I never use CEF but looks like I might have to try again.

Thanks for your thoughts & ideas

Thanks RF - great site - only a few more hours to wait until Picture of the Week.
