RCD trip times

200 or 300ms at 1x and 40ms at 5x.

200ms= BS4293 ie older RCD's.
300ms= BSEN 61008 or BSEN 61009, ie newer RCD's and RCBO's.

When you say expected do you mean in what time do they normally trip?
If so - anything between 5mS and 30mS

Sorry, I should have said a maximum of 40 or 200 or 300ms.

But as EFLI implies, the actual recorded figure varies from unit to unit and from manufacturer to manufacturer.

I normally find tripping times will vary from installations to installation, but something like 20ms-30ms @ 1xI∆n and 7ms-16ms @ 5xI∆n.
But that's just ball park I have had it when there has been very little difference between the 1xI∆n and 5xI∆n

No, I have had close measurements on 30mA RCDs, looking at recent test results there was one RCD giving the following
I∆n 28.4m and 5xI∆n 22.5ms
