more often than not RCD tripsare water related , irons & kettles are the favourite culprits

had a similar thing a couple of years ago, customers dishwasher kept tripping RCD, repair guy from gas board said it was faulty socket.

Asked customer to swap washing machine and diswasher and the dishwasher still tripped electrics.

Came to a head (I had been out and tested RCD) when I put a kettle on offending socket, followed by an iron and a hoover all worked so dishwasher engineer backed down.

Ive never had a faulty socket trip an rcd unless water damaged. 9 out 10 its an appliance.

I deal with many emergancy call outs to propertys and the most common causes are kitchen appliances, mainly kettles sat next to the sink drainer with the base submerged in water.
