I am completely re-fitting my bathroom & have the following questions:
1. The house is 15 years old but the only supplementary bonding is to the main incoming pipes in the kitchen. I have added bonding to all the water & rad pipes daisy chain style, connecting to the main earth bonding wire which passes under the bathroom to the kitchen. Is this ok?
2. I am also fitting a whirlppol bath & intend to feed it from a obsolete circuit in the consumer unit with a mcb (the old boiler programmer circuit), to a fused connection unit fitted to the outside of the bathroom, & then to the pump.
As I need part P approval, can I do this work myself & get it approved by a part P approved electrican? Do I also need building regs approval? If so, what are the approx costs?
3. Finally, do I use flat grey T&E or flexi wiring to wire the downlights I am fitting.
Many thanks in advance.

1. Not correct. Search for equipotential bonding. Briefly all exposed metal and all CPC's (earths) in anything electrical needs linking together (and not to the kitchen). Or are you working to the 17th edition regs in which case it's a different kettle of fish altogether.

2. What do the instructions say? Is there an RCD in the circuit?
Get your electrician involved at the start. He will at least need to see the cables and check your bonding before you tile over them etc. No need for you to involve building control, your electrician will handle that side of things.

3. T&E usually, although no reason why you couldn't use flex.
