Can anyone help my Boiler is on and heating up and i have hot water but the rads are cold, i have just had a chap out to look at it and he says the Pump is knackerd and so is the heating valve.
He suggested replacing both of these for about £400 or replace boiler and he would do the lot for about £2000.
Does this sound like a correct diagnosis and does anyone know what pump and heating valve would be needed for this and is it something i can do.??

Hi how about i bring it all to you i could do with a holiday in states.

I have 2 rads down stairs that have been cold for about a week, the upstairs 3 were fine and working but now they do not except bathroom one occasionally this has happened once before and some one suggested i change speed of pump and that with bleeding rads seemed to work about a year ago.

I could just do with out having to spend this kind of money at moment.

right turn h/w off or turn cyl stst down and just run heating is the valve motoring at all

are the pipes to the heating (port a ) getting hot / warm

You can either increase the pumping speed or replace with a new one. This should work. Had some same problem and this fixed it straight away. Good luck. There is nothing wrong with heating valve.
