I've been having a few issues with my roof over the past couple of years and have toyed with the idea of getting the roof redone totally with tiles (not slate).

My roof and separate garage come in at around 250m sq

What do you think would be a rough cost to do this?

I have had a price but have been told it is way too high so would love the opinion of you guys.

If you are North Wales based I may even give you the job!

Cheers

Will the price include fascias, soffits, guttering rainwater pipes, do you have any dormers, valleys, chimneys, is it verge to verge, what height to gutter, what is the access like....so much info needed for even a ballpark.

Hello

If the existing roof is natural slate(?), you will have to check with planning about putting tiles on in Anglesey

Very approximate figures:
Strip & re-roof in Tiles £45-60 per m2
Strip & re-roof in Imported Slate or reclaimed Welsh Slate £60-75
Strip & re-roof in new Welsh Slate £75-95
These costs should include an average scenario supply & fix, ex vat.

As this is our patch I would gladly visit and quote.
