Real Wood Flooring

I bought myself some real wood flooring this weekend planning on installing it in a couple of weeks. Just wondered what tips could be offered, it will be installed onto a concrete floor.

Should the planks be glued or nailed together? how big an expansion gap? I was hoping I could lay the floor and then fit the skirting board on top - depends on the expansion gap I guess
