rear wiper blade sticking

My ford focus rear wiper blade sticks half way through its cycle. I then have to turn on/off again to get it to shift. It seems to be getting worse, could it be the motor or something else? Any ideas anyone?

Is the car a few years old? It shouldn't have happened really but it could be wear in the mechanism. They work like the plungers on steam train wheels. If the spindle in the end of the arm wears it will not be pushed far enough to go over centre and complete it's cycle. Go to a breakers and get a used motor assembly and fit lock stock. Should sort it out.

Another thing to do is change the wiper blade and make sure the rear screen is nice and clean. Can get grease and crud on the glass which makes the wiper blade grab to the screen
