Rebate for pond window

My first post.

I am building a pond using sleepers and want to put a pond window in. The window will need a 10cm by 1cm depth x 100cm long rebate in middle of the sleeper . I was wondering what sort of tool would be best to do this.

Fixed onto a plank (the rebate is 1000mm long x 100mm wide x 10mm deep) with a batten screwed on as a side fence. It'll take quite a few passes, though

Make sure you can access the window, as it will soon be covered in algae. I know as I have one in my koi pond.
