best tool for rebating 18mm ply

hi i need to rebate soms ply about 3mm down whats the best tool say under a 100 pounds thanks

you could use a electric planer or a router.

I'd go with the router, a planer will tend to tear the edge of the top layer of ply.

it wont if you scribe the line first with a knife.

what exactly are you trying to do/ make!!!

if you tell us we can suggest alternative ways to achive the same result

adding 3mm or 6mm strips of ply to a 12mm sheet for example!!!

thanks gentle men im gonna go down the plane route as i need to keep the whole board 18 mm apart from where i need to plane 2-3mm down down one edge.Blimey ive confussed my self now cheers
