Hi all,

Quick one, some of you may know I'm doing most of the work on my loft conversion on my bungalow.

I have taken down all the ceilings and have new floor/ceiling structure ready to plasterboard.

Question is should I be knocking off a bit of wall plaster so the ceiling boards sit 'into' the walls and then make good or doesn't it really matter?

I'm also doing it in 12.5 straight edge 2400 x 1200 in case it makes a difference.

Cheers.

I did that and it made it much easier to put the boards up although I could have hired a board lifter.

I used the same boards as you.

Thanks guys. I have a board lifter too, my mate Karl :)

Slight change, my local TPs only has 1800 x 900 12.5mm in stock. Given my joists are on 450mm centers does it really matter apart from a couple more butt joints.
