Only my opinion but thats not a good design for a saw horse.
Logs are irregular shapes so will always rock about on supports with completely flat sides so 2 or 3 sets of crosses are much better .

thanks - I had based on a log chopper thing i saw , but on reflection you are right , may need to look into that
