reconnecting the electric from a demolished building

Yes! I had an electrician fit a new one once then i informed the electric company/ service provider of the reading

In the UK?

In the UK, your supplier provides a tested and calibrated meter, your electrician cannot possibly provide the meter. The meter provided by the supplier, is paid for as part of your standing charges.

Thats right
Thank you for a response, in that case when you or your electrician get to site and you know what you have, let us have some pictures of the current situation: fairly close so we can see what you have and further out so we see the location and suroundings.
At that point there is a possibility we may be able to offer advice but one thing we can not do is give an idea of the cost of any work required to be done by the DNO (electricity supplier)

Greetings!

So where a building has typically been demolished by a demolition company. How do you reconnect the electric back?

Can an electrician do it on site, or dose the electric board need to do it externally?

Thanks

Not enough information

When I get to site. is there anything in particular i need to look out for?
Thanks

I'm getting a bit of deja-vu here. This thread reminds me of another poster a year or so back wanting to know all sorts of things about water supply for a converted container.

Are you in the UK now?
Do you have an electricity supply?
Can you see the standing charge on your bill?

That's the bit about the standing charge.

The sentence about the cost of the meter being included in the standing charge is a bit more complex, but I'll have a go at explaining this complicated idea:

The cost of the meter is included in the standing charge.

I hope that helps clarify things.

To find out more about this, you could ask your current electricity supplier...

Basically anything electrical, is the "service head" and meter still there? if not is there a largeish cable somewhere that looks like it has been "capped off"? or a run of wires on poles?

Note: in the UK wires carrying domestic mains voltage on poles are usualy either bunched or stacked vertically, wires on wooden poles carrying "high voltage" (kilovolts) are usually spaced horizontally.
