Following today's headline news about military sites being used to house refugees, the previous government announced the same thing in 2023, causing Yvette Cooper to brand it as "an admission of failure on asylum policy"

We're just going round in circles!

I'd use a word more appropriate, like pendulum swings. How about pendulous as a word to describe British Politics?

Yes it comes across as conspiracy theory-esque, however I'm more and more convinced they (government past and present) don't want to solve this in the true sense of the word.

Whether it's because they (the small boat people) are a useful diversion from other socioeconomic failures or something else I don't know.

Until someone is willing to take a more hostile approach, it will continue. I don't think governments want the problem to continue, its very high on most people's agenda, when you look at the polling.

Rachel Reeves is about to stick her hand deeper in to people's pockets to fund her government's failing while at the same time half of that is probably spent processing and housing people that have no right to be here.

Don't talk about processing, unless you recognise the past issues that are now coming to light

its so easy to be in opposition, as Labour are finding out. did they not learn anything in 14 years? seemingly not

15b to be precise

It really isn't.

How do you know that they have no right to be here if you don't process their claims?

Asking a sensible question from someone deeply immersed in bigotry is like asking a chemist to perform brain surgery.
They have an idea were it is, they might even be aware of the symptoms, but they have no idea of the cause, nor the treatment
