I want to laminate our dining room floor which has a chipboard floor which I know has a very shallow void underneath which has at least gas pipes in (maybe electrics / water also!).
This chipboard floor is a bit springy in places and so rather than just using thick underlay, I was going to ply first and then use thinner underlay.
What thickness / grade of ply should I use to go over it do you think?
