can I just leave the key in? I have tried to pull it out but it's stuck - it's turned to the open padlock - what to do? Thanks Mrs W

I think leaving the key in may be technically be against water board regulations, but somehow I doubt if this would lead to a custodial sentence!!
Probably the safest place to keep the key from getting lost!
As long as the filling valve is left to the off / closed setting, there will be no malfunction of the boiler etc.
