Reform did well. Again.

The party won 39% of the vote in the results declared so far, enough to put it well ahead of all if its rivals. And Reform also seems to have a good chance of winning overall control of both Lincolnshire and Staffordshire, both of which voted heavily for Brexit in 2016.

Staffordshire. That’s @noseall's manor isn’t it? He must be feeling more and more isolated these days. Tough luck, Boyo! :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Andrea Jenkins needs to take a citizenship test, as her English is not good enough to hold a job in public service

mind you her Reform voting target audience only understand 3 words slogans because they are fickos

There was a recount - the original count said it was 4 vote difference IIRC
Reminds me I was pulled up for a full check at the self scan checkout.

I’ve occasionally been subject to a check before accepting payment for my shopping at the scan and go tills in Sainsbury's but no barriers after you have paid. They check just a certain number of items, apparently at random as the till gives the employee how many items to check and if those items tally up with what you have scanned it’s all okay, you can pay and go. Once, one of the items checked didn’t show up as being scanned so they had to check the whole lot. Turned out I’d forgot to scan it but at the same time I had scanned something else twice and my bill came to £4 cheaper!

Although this is local level and not UK wide, it links to the point I make re Reform. i.e. if they gain power, they will come under even more scrutiny re policies and how they deliver. They have done well in these elections, so those who voted for them will be expecting to see results.

I'm not for one sec saying Labour and the Tories are doing well at present, far from it, however I suspect Reform will discover once you have the power, it's not quite as straightforward to deliver on the rhetoric.

Interesting times.

Is she the one advocating the creation of a refugee camp on the beaches?
She said during her acceptance speech if tents are good enough for migrants in France, then tents should be good enough for them in the UK.

It's exactly this sort of thing they'll not get very far with, regardless of whether people think it's a good idea or not.

Your opinion matey

One could argue that the current rabble are making a huge mess too

They electorate have a vote to cast if they want to. It’s up to the vote count

Labour made a significant mistake with the winter fuel payment thingy. It's almost irrelevant if something is or isn't a good idea, it's the optics i.e. how it looks to the public.

Same can be said of Tories and now Labour re the small boat people. It's almost irrelevant if these people only account for a small percentage of overall migration, it's the optics of it all i.e. picture after picture of these small boats arriving.

Failure to act on things like this, or acting in the (perceived) wrong way e.g. winter fuel payments, is now coming back to bite the big two on the proverbial bum.

Oh ... and all the woke stuff!

Nigel Farage said: Liz Trusses budget was "best Conservative budget for 40 years"

so he is literally saying: "I love cutting taxes for the rich"

its fact not opinion -Reform policies literally prove they are free market libertarians.

Farage is a right wing populist, he is a rich private school kid pretending to be one the side of working class people

Farage believes in slashing public services (which ordinary citizens need), privatising NHS (which ordinary citizens need), deregulation of environmental control, workers rights, standards (which protect ordinary citizens)
