FFX tools well on Amazon. I just nip over direct to their website and buy from there. But yes, regardless of my quite big reservations about Amazon, they do offer a service for many retailers.

I'd image some of the big alternative players to Amazon probably use AWS to power their eBusiness.

A lot of small businesses rely on Amazon without Amazon they would be bust. Avoiding buying from Amazon you are avoiding buying from millions of small businesses who rely on your money to live.

Boycotting companies usually hurts those at the bottom. It's like years ago when unthinking llefty hand-wringers boycotted South African produce. So what happened, the SA farmers' market shrank and they had to lay off workers who then couldn't feed their children. The same workers that the libertards professed to be concerned about.
