The second reason was the house had light beige carpet thru most of the house and she made me take my shoes off coming in the door - it made going up the ladder to the loft very uncomfortable.
Blue plastic overshoes, I always use them.
It doesn't cost much to respect peoples homes.
You must never take your shoes off on a job! Use covers as suggested above. If you take your steelies off & have an accident, your insurance will not pay out!
I know someone this happened to. Not only did the insurance refuse PB to pay out, but he got hauled through a disciplinary too...
