Hi all
I have to change my old rad but the size is roughly 1778mm and in metric I can get 1600mm or 1800mm. Could you please tell me which size should I go for? There are few websites offering rads with 1700mm but those are very expensive.

Thank you

A lot depends on whether you can lift the floor boards and move the tails.

I am not a plumber but when unable to move the tails I have gone for the smaller rad and used the extensions mention by nozzle. They project out of the sides of the rads.

If i go for 1600mm rad that means that I will need 90mm extension on each side roughly (if my calc are rite that is). What size extension do you recommend?

But they look terrible. Depends on your priorities really. If you have floorboards and are very lucky, lifting the boards may allow you to reposition the pipes to accommodate the 1800
