If you just poured F3 into the F&E, it will stay there and not get to where it's needed down in the system. I lower the water level to a little below the F&E using the drain off cock and get a funnel with thin piece of hose attached. Then push hose into exit hole at bottom of F&E as far as I can, then pour the treatment into the funnel. Then turn on supply to F&E float valve and let it fill.
Microversions can get blocked, but they can also sometimes get airlocked. Should be some air vents above the microversion to release air.
