Does Gas hob installation require a insulation valve for the hob? The Comet installer may argue that there is not?

My advice is not to install a comet - they are very large, very hot, and will destroy your house in the course of orbiting the sun.

i thought a comet was made up mainly of ice. therefore very cold?
