You need a good blow lamp with a adjustable tight flame. But if it's a water pipe and there's any water in it you'll struggle .....sometimes it's easier to take all the fittings off ....leave yourself with just the pipes in position, clean the solder on the pipes with a blowlamps and wire wool and then use new fittings.

Sometimes the solder won't give and you won't be able to turn it ! Sometimes it's easy ....usually on gas pipes. And sometimes it's a pig !!!

I knocked up a wet vac contraption to suck out any water - which helps greatly, you know your in trouble when you hear water boiling inside the pipe.
