Reillo rdb 2.2 firebird c26 DGT. So we had a power cut on Monday and the burner locked out. I reset it and the thing actually ignited for a few seconds on the first try but locked out again. After that, any resetting on the control box just resulted in a pulse of the motor. It would spin maybe a few degrees and then stop until power cycled. No lockout. The lights would blink on the control box but were so dim I couldn't figure out the code. The lights do change pattern when pulling the photocell so that seems fine. Capacitor was leaking green stuff around 1 of the connections so replaced the capacitor, but no change. I'm getting 240V to the control box.

I've checked coils on the motor and I'm getting 32ohm, 24ohm and 8ohms.

I bought a new control box yesterday and tried it this morning. This time as soon as I power on the control box shows a solid red light and the boiler now locks out.

Any ideas appreciated.

Have you checked the solenoid coil?
Have you checked the motor for jammimg, both with the pump fitted and the pump removed?

Thanks oilhead. Solenoid measured 100ohms and motor spins freely both with pump on and off.

I just discovered that the new controller i got was an MO535 MR1SF, not the MO535 M1PF which came off the burner. Apparently these are not compatible with my firebird. I've ordered another M1PF so hopefully that helps.
