hi all, have a sealed system i want to clean out, have sludge remover in a tube, am ok with everything i need to do except relesing the system pressure....searched but all that came up is how to increase the pressure which isnt what i want to do!!
any help greatly appreciated by me........mostly for getting my wife to keep quiet :)

do i just bleed the system a bit without filling it again?

Officially
Find a drain off valve, stick a hosepipe on it and open the valve.

Unofficially
At the risk of knacking up a pressure relief valve by getting some debris stuck on the valve seat:-
Let it out of the Pressure relief valve

Shhhhhhh I never told you to do it  :)

close both rad valves
undo bleed screw have a cloth handy
screw the cartridge in the bleed
inject cleanser
open a valve then close it again
remove cartridge
replace bleed screw
open both valves

leave it in for a couple of weeks at least

then drain down

You can also use a bleed nipple on one of the radiators. If you're impatient you can take it out completely, have a jug handy to catch the excess water, then replace once the pressure has dropped.
