    Oohhh sbgasman. :)

I expect you are pleased with yourself -taking a couple of quotes out of context.

    :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I suppose I will have to explain it to you.

Yes a no deal may be achievable politically -so it could happen. You can go and celebrate, cos you think youve won something :ROFLMAO:
And then the UK will have to negotiate with the EU so that £290b of exports can flow there.

So off we trot to sort out:
    Financial settlement
    Irish border
    Citizens rights.

And guess what: no deal aint a no deal -its a worse deal (n)

If you have a counter argument do come back.
If you only have a sarcastic response rather than discuss the issue -please do that, I wouldnt want you bottling up any anger on my behalf :ROFLMAO:

Well we dont need the EU, they can stick their 759 trade agreements.

The UK can certainly be self sufficient. Im confident we can build new and better trade agreements overnight just with a bit of self belief.

That frictionless trade with the EU -load of rubbish. Border controls, rules of origin checks -all far more efficient.

That concept of globalisation -pah, its so last year. We can be self sufficient -its much better.

I wonder if Brig can tell us what year Great Britain was last self-sufficient.

"Was", and the ability to be so, are not the same thing, so your request is not relevant.

"Basic needs". Food production was an example. You could add shelter, energy, for two.

    No, he can't.

But he could tell us why we have needed to have rationing of food, petrol, clothes, etc. And it wasn't for want of effort. It was due to inability to produce enough ourselves, and temporary obstructions to imports.

ha ha, very funny, dp, pretending to think that all the trade agreements are with members of the EU.

They are, of course, with countries that are not members of the EU.

    At least quote me.
As I said, your proposal is and was irrelevant ; I refer you to page 3 of this thread.

In fact, feel free not to bother, as you make up your own interpretations of what I said, for you to refute, anyway.
