Hi Chaps :o)
Just Bought a 16 Channel "Avtech AVC787" CCTV DVR, And Have Set It Up Using Three Cams (So Far),
I Have Also Set It Up On My Home Computer Network, Which Works Great,
But I Need To Know How To Set It Up For "Remote Monitoring" On The Internet From Anywhere In The World?
I Am On "Orange" (Wannado) Broadband, Which I Think Is a "Dynamic" Connection, (Not Static),
The Instruction Manual Is Not Explicit Enough For a "Net" Novice Like Me?
Any Help With This Headache Would Be Absorbed With Great Interest :)

The first question, is are you using a router or a USB modem? you need to use a router for this. It will work fine with a dynamic IP, you will need to register for a Dynamic DNS account DynDNS will work fine.
Once set up, every time your router changes IP address, it registers with the site and will update a DNS entry that you created with your latest IP address.
With this done, you will then need to configure the router to "Port forward" whatever Ports your DVR uses. Does is use it's own software or a Browser?
