Hi

I need some advice on how to remove dried solvent paint of a newly laid wooden floor which is dark brushed oak.

It's driving me mad. Worried about removing the lacquer if I use white spirit.

Thanks in advance.

A few spots or a whole spilt tin?
Tiger it's generally where the decorator masked off the areas to paint the skirting. As the floor is brushed its stubbornly stuck in the grooves of the brushed area of wood. As it's a dark wood the white stands out. Thanks.

use white spirit and be quick about it. Once the paint has hardened it won't work.

What is your decorator doing about it? If the floor is brushed , can't you not touch in the lacquer if white spirit dissolves it?
