Hi all,
we are thiniking of knocking down a wall to join two rooms and make them one big one.
The wall in question used to be an external wall, but as a result of a two story extension is now internal. It also has a chimney on it.
Should it be simple enough for a builder and structural engineer to remove the chimney, knock it down and then put in a steel to support it? Or does the fact it was once external complicate things?
