I have had a new basin fitted in my bathroom and it has left some areas around the basin needing new tiles. Some tiles were broken (which are now partly behind the new basin) and unfortunately these tiles were not removed before the basin was fitted. Can anyone advise the best way to remove the broken tiles without damaging the basin? There is a small gap around the basin where I could slide new tiles in, if I can get the old bits out, I have spares. Thanks for any help.

You’ll need to relax the basin screws/bolts and just use a hammer and chisel and be careful. Why weren’t the old ones removed?

Thank you, I can see the screws holding the basin underneath. They weren't removed because the plumber didn't think to do it, just went straight over them!
