removing misty smell from clothes?

i took a load of clothes out of the washing machine, piled them ready to hang up, and then forgot about (something that took up a lot of my thinking space happened)
this was just over a week ago, i've just hung them up but they've got a misty smell of damp/mold. is there any way to remove this smell?

Using liquids and gels on low temps in your washer cause's a bacterial build up of grey sludge in the drum and the smell then tranfers onto the clothes . I recommend my customers to buy Calgon tablets place one in the drum on a boil wash and repeat it again then do a boil wash with a calgon tablet every six weeks.

I use Ariel Actilift.

Has good strong pong and lasts a long time when clothes are wet.

Burn them, that'll sort the smell! If not why not just wash them again or is that a bit simple on my part!
