My home front and back steps are composed of paving slabs, which like all steps can get slippy. After using a sealer I applied anti-slip paint. For a short while all was well until the paint started to come off in patches. I suspect that the sealer was ineffectual and lime from the slabs has come through.

My dilemma is that the will not strip off even with Nitro-Mors. I am being advised to use brick acid (not keen) and also have read in these pages an industrial pressure washer (will have to hire) should act as a good paint stripper. Replacing the slabs must be a last resort as they are 3X2 and I aint as young as I used to was.
