I'm re tiling our kitchen floor at the moment and need to remove the old adhesive, at present I'm using a wide chisel and it's taking bloody ages! Is there a quicker way or maybe a solution that will soften the original stuff?

TIA :D

soften it up with water, leave for abit then elbow grease..and a big scraper..
