Hi all hope someone can help me with this one...

The situation is this I live in a late 1800s three storey terrace the house is split all the way up by the staircase and both stair walls are brick built. On the first floor there used to be a partition wall that went all the way across the house meaning you had to walk through a bedroom to go to the bathroom at the back of the house. I have already built a partition wall to create a hallway but now want to remove the part of the original partition that had the door in it is this possible?

Can't say without looking at it but if the original partition is made of timber stud then it shouldn't be a bearing walls.

As luck would have it when I pulled away all the plaster the framework was just hanging there not doing any supporting so thanks again but problem solved
