Is there anything I need to do differently if turning rad valves off and taking a rad off on a vented system as opposed to a sealed? Expect I don't need to open a filling loop after to fill. Thanks

No, exactly the same just for removal, as in isolate both flow and return valves, and open bleed vent to ensure they’re not passing. Filling up will likely take longer.
