Hi Guys,

I know this question has probably been asked before but i would just like to clarify it please.

Basically i need to remove a radiator from downstairs whilst the wall gets plastered. We've got a combination boiler, which was fitted approx 12 months ago. The wall is a mess behind the RAD so it really needs to be removed to have a propper job done. "Says the plaster guy"

I've read through a lot of threads and gathered that this normally, can be done by switching off the return valve (which is on the left and the control valve (on the right) make sure the boiler is off. My concern is that when refitting the RAD, it may interfere with the pressure and i don't want to be ringing the installer guy as he will think i'm a right blonker.

Can anyone add a bit more info to give me more confidence please.

Thanking you all V kindly.

If the valves are in good working order, no problems :)

Do as you have described, when putting back radiator, fill with some inhibiter, finger over the hole (another pair of hands always handy) and attach back to pipework. Open valves and bleed radiator. Back to boiler and top up with the filling loop back to recommended pressure. Put kettle on.

Thanks for your help.
So i will have to mess with the filling loop - is it a simple task, one tap to fill and another to empty ?

Thanks

Ok, thanks for the link - Very interesting stuff. I read it all but it doesn't mension about how to release the pressure if you accidently put too much in there. I'm just taking extra precautions prior to going ahead with this.

Thanks
